What is Biometric Time-Attendance Management System?
Biometrics or Biometric Authentication is the identification of human based upon their physical traits or
characteristics, mostly their fingerprints, vein, palm, eyes or facial features. Biometrics is used as a form of identification and access control system. While biometric time and attendance systems are used to manage employee attendance, scheduling, and associated payroll management.
Biometric Time and Attendance devices often come up with Fingerprint, Palm Vein, and Iris recognition technology in order to add an extra layer of security, accountability and efficiency.
How the System Works?
Phase 1 | Biometric Device: Biometric Time-Attendance management system allows employees to clock in and out using their biometric credentials like fingerprint, finger vein, palm vein or iris. Simultaneously this process is also accompanied by PIN (Personal identification number) or Smart/RFID card which must also match the fingerprint or other scan.
